Kerala Assembly voiced deep concern over the terrorist strike in Mumbai and urged the entire nation to stay united against the militants, who had become a grave threat to civil society.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Assembly today voiced deep concern over the terrorist strike in Mumbai and urged the entire nation to stay united against the militants, who had become a grave threat to civil society.

Making a statement in the house, Chief Minister V S Achuthanadan said, the whole nation should remain alert and keep a high vigil against the nefarious designs of extremists, who should be isolated and suppressed through concerted action

He said the house shared the sorrow of the kin of those innocent persons who had lost their lives in the attack.

The chief minister said a high alert had been sounded across the state.

Former chief minister and opposition Congress leader in the house, Oommen Chandy said the entire society should join hands in rooting out the anti-national forces.
