Prakash Javadekar today said that Kenyatta conveyed his wishes when he had met him during the UN Environment conference in Kenyan capital Nairobi last week.

NEW DELHI: Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has said he would be glad if Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits his country, recalling his visit to the African country as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar today said that Kenyatta conveyed his wishes when he had met him during the UN Environment conference in Kenyan capital Nairobi last week.

"He wishes Narendra Modi visits Kenya where Indians contribute to its economy in large numbers. He (Modi) had visited the country as the Chief Minister. Kenyatta told me that he (Modi) should visit the country as the Prime Minister also," Javadekar said.
