Kejriwal's Gujarat visit cancelled after BJP pressure: AAP claims in "sting op"
GANDHINAGAR: Alleging that the Gujarat government has been pressurising its patrons in Surat, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday, cancelled Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s visit. Kejriwal was scheduled to visit the state on July 9 and 10.

AAP Gujarat in-charge and Delhi MLA Gulab Singh Yadav and AAP Gujarat president Dr Kanu Kalsaria alleged that the merchants from Surat had invited Kejriwal and had booked Veer Narmad South Gujarat University hall for July 10. However, the booking was later cancelled. It was alleged that the cancellation was done at the behest of the state government.

However, the AAP leaders claimed that Kejriwal will visit Gujarat post monsoon and hold public meetings. It may be mentioned here that Kejriwal was also scheduled to visit Somnath Temple during his visit to the state, which now stands cancelled. For a long time Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has been trying to expand its base in Gujarat albeit without much success.
