Kejriwal sat on dharna even after being allowed to go to North Block: Police
NEW DELHI: Even when Delhi Police allowed the Delhi Chief Minister to go to North Block along with his minister today, Arvind Kejriwal chose to sit on dharna along with his followers and MLAs outside the Rail Bhavan.

As Kejriwal drove towards North Block at around 11.25 AM, his car was stopped, first by the media and then the police at the Raisina Road, blocking his way to North Block.

The Chief Minister was then involved in a heated discussion with the police for over 20 minutes.

"We had asked him to wait until 12 pm as the Republic Day Rehersal was on. We had also given him an option of going to the North Block along with his ministers," said a senior police official.

Kejriwal asked that would the media be allowed to accompony him.

"To this demand, we refused, after which he decided to sit for dharna outside Rail Bhavan," the official added.
