Congressmen in Maharashtra are clearly not enthused by Rahul Gandhi’s leadership skills. At a recent event over the weekend when a Congress leader was asked about the mood in the party, he responded by saying, “Oh! We are just waiting.” When he was asked as to whether he was waiting for Rahul Gandhi to take over as Congress President, he responded with a laugh. “No we are actually waiting for Priyanka to take over the party,” he quipped.

BSP chief Mayawati broke the practice of ‘monologue’ at his press conference in Delhi. She surprised one and all by taking questions from reporters. Generally, she appears before reporters and reads out her statement. Then, she leaves the hall without taking any question.
No cash may mean other stash
Even as ruling party MPs are getting ready to furnish all their bank account transactions from November 8 till December 30, those whose accounts won’t see any cash deposit during the period have another reason to worry. While no major cash deposits during this period may ostensibly suggest no ill-gotten money, the lack of transaction may also spill the beans. A senior party leader surmised that no withdrawal from their accounts suggest their dependence on informal cash source to run their day-today affairs. This catch-22 situation could be another giveaway for party MPs.
