Kashmiri pandits to hold international conclave
Kashmiri Pandits will organise an international summit in New Delhi next month.
"The summit, which is the first-ever of its kind, would feature participation of successful entrepreneurs, industrialists, executives, bureaucrats, doctors, scientists, and scholars from the community", Surinder Ambardar, chief organiser said.
Besides, some union ministers and top leadership of Jammu and Kashmir would also take part, he said.
Ambardar lauded the successful from the community by crediting them for working on "policies and objectives aimed at raising the economic profile of the state."
Vikram Bhat, an IT entrepreneur and organiser, said the summit will propose out-of-the-box solutions for economic prosperity and opportunity creation for the Kashmiri pandits.
The summit would also highlight the role of public-private partnership to reduce economic and social gaps.
The participants will examine in eight working sessions four essential elements for the development of the state. -- Combating poverty, supporting young people through value-added-education, economic revival and opportunity creation.
Besides, the summit is also expected to serve as a platform for business networking, and for a dialogue between the goverment and the potential investors from the community, the organisers said.
