Karunanidhi will be next Tamil Nadu Chief Minister: Stalin

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin expressed confidence today that the DMK combine would win the Assembly polls due in May and M Karunanidhi would continue as Chief Minister.

CUDDALORE: Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin expressed confidence today that the DMK combine would win the Assembly polls due in May and M Karunanidhi would continue as Chief Minister.

"The people below poverty line have decided to support the DMK alliance. (So) M Karunanidhi will be elected the next Chief Minister," Stalin said after inaugurating "Samathuvapuram" (government's egalitarian housing colony) houses at a cost of Rs 1.25 crore at Ramapuram village in the district.

"The next DMK government will implement various socio-economic welfare schemes to improve the economic status of the poor", he added.

Minister for Health M R K Panneerselvam and Cuddalore Collector P Seetharaman were among those present on the occasion.
