Karunanidhi congratulates Ansari
DMK supremo M Karunanidhi greets Mohammad Hamid Ansari for winning the Vice President polls.

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK supremo M Karunanidhi on Saturday greeted Mohammad Hamid Ansari, who has been elected as the country's 13th Vice President.
"Please accept my hearty congratulations on your election as the Vice President of India," Karunanidhi said in his message to Ansari, who was elected on Friday.
The country is confident that Ansari will safeguard its secular and democratic traditions, he said.
He also wished Ansari a "happy and comfortable tenure in the office".
Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala had greeted Ansari on Friday.
