BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa has demanded that chief minister Siddaramaiah apologise for his government's attempt to malign Justice Adi.

BENGALURU: Karnataka Assembly speaker Kagodu Thimmappa has dropped the proceedings initiated against Upalokayukta Justice Subhash B Adi on a motion moved by MLA Tanveer Sait seeking his removal.

The speaker had referred the motion to the Karnataka High Court Chief Justice requesting an inquiry into the allegations made against Adi. Justice RB Budihal of the Karnataka High Court, who went into the charges, found them to be baseless and submitted a report. The speaker has accepted the report and dropped the proceedings.

Justice Adi is not attending the office as he had been facing the probe. BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa has demanded that chief minister Siddaramaiah apologise for his government's attempt to malign Justice Adi.
