Karnataka reports 1,704 Covid cases

BENGALURU: Karnataka added 1704 cases on Sunday, taking the total active cases in the state to 24,868. Hospitals discharged 1537 patients, while the pandemic claimed 13 deaths on Sunday.

Positivity rate has dropped to a comfortable level of 1.34%, while case fatality rate (CFR) for the day was 0.76%, which meets the government ambitious target of taking it below 1%.

Bengaluru Urban district reported 1039 cases, and 10 deaths, and Ballari, Dharwada and Mysuru reported one death each. Mysuru reported 100 new cases, but the discharges were higher at 107.
