Karnataka not losing industries to Andhra Pradesh, says CM Siddaramaiah
BELAGAVI: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today rejected reports that Karnataka was losing industries to Andhra Pradesh and other states and asserted that the state continued to attract industrial investment.

He said 53 pharmaceutical firms had approached his government for investments in the state and many industrial firms from Maharashtra too had conveyed their interest to set up units.

Replying to Tara Anooradha (BJP) during question hour, he said Hero Motocorp Limited shifted to Andhra Pradesh not because of infrastructural issues or concessions in the state, but perhaps with assumption of getting more concessions in view of that state's bifurcation.

Siddaramaiah claimed that the Karnataka's industrial policy is one of the best in the country.
