Karnataka govt said it earned a total revenue of Rs 12,072.01 crore by selling Indian made foreign liqour and foreign liqour in the financial year 2013-14.

BANGALORE: Karnataka government today said it earned a total revenue of Rs 12,072.01 crore by selling Indian made foreign liqour and foreign liqour in the financial year 2013-14.

"The government earned a total revenue of Rs 12,072.01 crore by selling Indian made foreign liqour and foreign liqour during 2013-14," Excise Minister Satish Jarkiholi said on the floor of the legislative assembly here.

He said 6.699 lakh litres of Indian made foreign liqour and nine lakh litres of foreign liqour was sold in 2013-2014.

The minister said 6.777 lakh litres of IMFL was supplied to Karnataka during the period.
