Karnataka Congress targets BJP, its MP Simha

Congress workers staged protests in Mysuru and Bengaluru against BJP Lok Sabha MP Pratap Simha over the security breach incident. The MP is under scrutiny for allegedly providing passes to the intruders who jumped into the Lok Sabha.

Karnataka Congress on Thursday hit out at BJP, accusing the saffron party of "sponsoring" the security breach in the Parliament on Wednesday. Taking to social media platform X, the party said BJP was "afraid" of talking about the security lapse. "The MP who was involved in the attack on Parliament was not suspended, let alone investigated. Five Congress MPs were suspended from the proceedings for demanding a discussion on the security lapse," the party tweeted.

Meanwhile, Mysuru Police said Manoranjan, one of the intruders from Mysuru, had no criminal past.
