Karnataka CM D V Sadananda Gowda releases Rs 46 crore for drought relief

CHITRADURGA (KARNATAKA): Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda today said the government will release Rs 46 crore with immediate effect for drought relief works.

Speaking after holding a meeting with officials at Hariyabbe, about 25 kms away from here, on the scaracity conditions in Chitradurga district, Gowda said he would direct the Finance Department to release immediately Rs 46 crore for drought relief works.

He instructed officials to open three more Ghoshala in the district and procure fodder.

Gowda earlier visited a Ghoshala and interacted with farmers on the drought situation.
