NEW DELHI: Amid allegations by Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj that Monday's trust vote in the Assembly was a farce, the BJP has claimed that it is ready for a second trust vote. The party, led by CM B S Yeddyurappa, has said that it is confident of winning the second trust vote. The decision was announced after a meeting at senior BJP leader L K Advani's house today.

Earlier in the day, the BJP lashed out against Bhardwaj, accusing him of using Raj Bhavan for 'political purposes" and demanded his recall.

The chief minister won a confidence motion in the state assembly by voice vote amidst chaotic scenes Monday, but Governor Bhardwaj recommended President's rule in the state. The governor also gave Yeddyurappa a "fresh opportunity" to prove majority in the house again by Oct 14.
