Karna CM donates rs one crore for TN temple works

CHENNAI: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has donated Rs one crore towards works at Sri Devanathaswamy Temple at Tiruvanthipuram in Cuddalore district.

Representing Yeddyurappa, Karnataka Commissioner for Religious and Charitable Endowments K Ramanna Naik presented a demand draft to Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment (HR&CE) Minister KR Periakaruppan here, an official press release said.

The sum of Rs one crore would be utilised towards works at the Swami Hayagreevar 'Sannithi' (sanctum sanctorum) in the temple, the release said.
