20 Kanwariyas vandalise car with sticks, rods after argument in Delhi

A group of kanwariyas went on rampage, vandalising a car in Delhi's Moti Nagar after it allegedly brushed past one of them.

A couple was in the vehicle when it allegedly hit a kanwariya, Delhi police said. According to reports, the couple got into an argument with a group. The man allegedly slapped a kanwaria.

After that, the group of over 20 kanwarias vandalised the car with sticks and iron rods in the middle of the road. The video of the incident, which took place around 5 pm, has gone viral on social media.



The couple fled fearing they could attacked, police said. According to reports, kanwariyas even tried to set the car on fire and pelted stones at the couple who had taken shelter at a nearby shop .

Traffic movement was also affected in the area.

The Kanwarias left the spot after the police arrived.

The matter is being probed. No complaint has been filed yet.
