Kamal Nath, Chouhan, Sushma among bigwigs to cast vote in MP
Union Minister for Commerce and Industries Kamal Nath, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj were among the bigwigs who cast their vote today.
Nath and his family members voted in Chhindwara town from where he is also contesting since 1980 while Sushma voted in Bhopal's Bairagarh area.
The Union minister expressed confidence that Congress-led UPA would form the government at the Centre for second consecutive term.
Sushma, currently a Rajya Sabha member from MP, too said that NDA would form the government at the Centre and she would win from Vidisha with a record margin.
Chief Minister and his wife Sadhna voted at their ancestral Jait village in Sehore district.
Senior Congress leader Ajay Singh exercised his right to franchise in Sidhi from where his sister Veena Singh is contesting as an independent against Congress' Indrajit Patel.
Veena, daughter of Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh, also cast her vote in Sidhi.
Voting is currently under way for 13 of the total 29 LS seats in the state. Polling for the remaining 16 LS seats would be held on April 30.
