'Kabul attack another sign that world peace is at threat'

A senior Republican leader said the terror attack in kabul is "another sign that a ruthless enemy is threatening world peace".

WASHINGTON: A senior Republican leader, while condemning the bomb attack on the Indian mission in Afghanistan, said the terror attack is "another sign that a ruthless enemy is threatening world peace".

"This type of violence against innocent civilians is yet another sign of the ruthless enemy that threatens peace and stability not only in Afghanistan but around the world," said Republican Congressman Wilson, who is also the Co Chair of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans.

"My deepest sympathies go out to the families of the Afghani and Indian citizens who lost their lives. The United States and its allies in Afghanistan, India, and around the world must stand together to defeat terrorists at home and abroad," the South Carolina Republican added.

Forty-one Indians including four Indians were killed in the suicide attack yesterday on the Indian Embassy in Kabul.
