K Gnanadesikan appointed as new Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu government today appointed State Electricity Board Chairman and Additional Chief Secretary, K Gnanadesikan as the Chief Secretary replacing Mohan Varghese Chunkath.

'Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) Chairman and Managing Director, K Gnanadesikan, is transferred and posted as Chief Secretary to Government,' an official release said.

Chunkath has been transferred and posted as Director, Anna Institute of Management and Director General of Training, it said.

Besides serving as Chief Secretary, Gnanadesikan would also hold full additional charge of the post of Vigilance Commissioner and Commissioner for Administrative Reforms, the release said.
