Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao Wednesday offered gold ornaments — worth Rs 5.6 crore — at the famous Lord Venkateshwara Temple in Tirupati amid raging criticism over his massive donations to temples allegedly using taxpayers’ money.

Gold ornaments included a 'saligram' necklace which weighed 14.20 kg, priced at Rs 3.70 crore. 'Kanta abharanam' weighing 4.65 kg was also offered to Lord Swamy which was priced at Rs 1.20 crore.
Apart from Rs 5 crore which was offered to Lord Venkateshwara Swamy, Rs 59 lakh was offered to other deities.
