I resigned 10 days ago: Jyotiraditya Scindia
Jyotiraditya Scindia's resignation comes hours after Mumbai Congress president Milind Deora quit his post.

“Accepting the people’s verdict and taking accountability, I had submitted my resignation as General Secretary of AICC to Shri @RahulGandhi. I thank him for entrusting me with this responsibility and for giving me the opportunity to serve our party”, Scindia tweeted on Sunday afternoon.
Later talking to ET, Scindia said, “my resignation is not today’s event. I had met Rahul ji around 8 to 10 back and had submitted my resignation”.
Yet, the news of his resignation came in the run to the CWC meet to elect a new party chief. Incidentally, it also coincides with the move to appoint a new PC chief in Madhya Pradesh. While some state congress leaders have pitched for appointing Scindia as the new PCC chief, name of a state cabinet minister is also doing the rounds. There is also a move to appoint a new PCC chief in Rajasthan.
With resignation of Scindia and Milind Deora, it remains to be seen whether more AICC-PCC office bearers and CWC members, especially the younger lot, too will quit given Rahul Gandhi had stressed on accountability in his farewell letter to partymen.
