JVM to vote against FDI in retail

JAMSHEDPUR: The Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) today said it would vote against FDI in retail in the forthcoming discussion on the issue in Parliament.

JVM MP from Jamshedpur Ajay Kumar said his party would vote against FDI in retail when voting takes place after a discussion on the issue in Parliament. JVM, he said, had already made its stand clear on the issue, he said.

Kumar said JVM, which has two members, including party supremo Babulal Marandi and himself, had withdrawn support from the UPA government over "anti-people" policies of hike in the prices of petroleum products, cap on subsidized LPG cylinders and FDI in retail sector.
