JVM-P to emerge as single largest party in 2014 polls: Babulal Marandi
"I am confident that JVM-P will emerge as the single largest party in both the elections," Marandi said

Addressing a rally organised on the occasion of JVM-P's Adivasi maha-sammelan at Ghatsila, about 45 kms from here, Marandi said his 28-month rule in the early 2000 was only a "trailer" and his party was all set to provide good governance in 2014.
"2014 will be significant for Jharkhand as the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are scheduled to be held then," Marandi said, adding if JVM-P was voted to power, it would ensure all round development of the state.
"I am confident that JVM-P will emerge as the single largest party in both the elections," Marandi said, while accusing the Hemant Soren-led coalition government for failing to deliver on all fronts.
"Congress, BJP and JMM have already exploited the minerals of the state and the present government was now bend upon to even loot sand," he alleged referring to the recent agitation by locals over auctioning of sand beds in the state.
On the displacement issue, Marandi strongly advocated for rehabiliation policy for the displaced families in case their land was acquired for development projects.
"Besides, one member of the affected family must be ensured a job in case of displacement," he added.
Among others, JVM-P leader in the state Assembly Pradip Yadav, MLA Saba Ahmed and party MP Dr Ajay Kumar were also present at the meeting.
