Justice Sathasivam sworn in as SC judge

Justice P Sathasivam, Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, was today sworn in as a Judge of the Supreme Court by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan.

NEW DELHI: Justice P Sathasivam, Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, was today sworn in as a Judge of the Supreme Court by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan.

With the induction of Justice Sathasivam, the effective strength of the apex court has now risen to 23.

The strength of the Court will revert to 22 when Justice P K Balasubramanyam retires on August 27.
