Jungle Raj thing of the past: UP Police tells Mayawati
UP Police's post comes in the middle of national furore over the burning of a 23-year old rape victim survivor in Unnao on Thursday as well another act of brutal relentlessness coming to light from Chitrakoot where a dancer was shot at in a weddin...

The police was quick to retort to Mayawati's remark that UP treats its criminals as "state guests" and that there was "jungle raj" in the state, with piercing data and some chest thumping.
"The figures speak for themselves. Jungle Raj is a thing of the past. No longer now. 103 criminals killed and 1859 injured in 5178 police engagements in the last more than 2 years. 7745 criminals surrendered or cancelled their own bails to go to jail.
Hardly state guests," the UP Police's official Twitter handle carried in response to Mayawati's statement.
