JPC probe into 2G spectrum scam only solution: Jaitley

BANGALORE: Sticking to BJP's demand for a JPC probe into the 2G spectrum scam, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley today said accepting the demand was the only solution to end the crisis in Parliament.

"Accepting the demand for a JPC is the only way out of the current crisis", he told reporters here.

Jaitley, who accompanied party chief Nitin Gadkari during his visit to the city, said the integrity of institutions like CBI and CVC has been compromised with by these government.

"The government cannot expect us to have faith in these institutions", he said.

"Is the Parliament going to be a silent spectator on this" he asked.

"Why was this portfolio meant only for particular party or a family", he asked in reference to the telecom portfolio being held ealier by DMK's A Raja.

"This shows there are clear issues on governance and JPC is the only solution," he said.
