Journalist Sabina Sehgal Saikia dead

Senior journalist of The Times of India Sabina Sehgal Saikia was found dead in the Taj Hotel after the NSG cleared the building of terrorists.

NEW DELHI: Senior journalist of The Times of India Sabina Sehgal Saikia was on Saturday found dead in the Taj Hotel after the NSG cleared the building of terrorists.

"Unfortunately she is dead. Her body was recovered this morning from the hotel," Resident Editor (Delhi) of the paper Vikas Singh told.

Saikia was trapped inside the Taj hotel when terrorists struck the plush commercial establishment on Wednesday.

Consulting editor and resident food critic with the newspaper, she was in Mumbai for a wedding reception but returned to her room at the Taj hotel early from the function complaining fatigue.
