Jogi resigns from Lok Sabha to keep assembly seat

Ajit Jogi has resigned his Lok Sabha seat to keep assembly seat.

NEW DELHI: Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi has resigned his Lok Sabha seat following his election to the Chhattisgarh assembly.

The Mahasamund Parliamentary seat represented by Jogi has fallen vacant since December 26, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said in a press note.

Jogi was elected from Marwahi constituency in the recently-held assembly polls in the state.
