RANCHI: The JMM called Ranchi bandh tomorrow in protest against the attack on its activists at Hinoo Chowk here allegedly by BJP workers during a 'peaceful protest' at the time of the visit of Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.

"The JMM activists gathered at Hinoo to protest democratically against the visit of the union minister by showing black flags. But the BJP activists attacked the JMM activists, who suffered injuries," JMM's Ranchi district President Ashok Kumar Singh said in a press release.

In protest against the attack, he said, the district committee would observe a dawn-to-dusk bandh tomorrow.

The party has already announced to observe 'black day' tomorrow across Jharkhand in protest against jeering of Chief Minister Hemant Soren by BJP men when he was delivering speech in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.
