J&K Revenue Minister orders probe into illegal government land sales
Reaffirming the resolve of the government to fight corruption tooth and nail, the minister warned that corrupt officials will not be tolerated in the administration.

"Observing discrepancy in the records, brought from Tehsildar North, Jammu, it was seized in presence of SSP and ACR concerned," Mir said.
The step was taken after receiving a complaint in connection with sale of government land, he said.
Mir has ordered for constitution of a Committee, headed by a Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) officer and asked to submit its report within a week on the matter.
Reaffirming the resolve of the government to fight corruption tooth and nail, the minister warned that corrupt officials will not be tolerated in the administration.
He said no stone will be kept unturned in providing transparent and corruption free administration to the people, adding those trying to indulge in malpractice will have to pay.
This should be a message to all the field functionaries of Revenue Department that corrupt and delinquent officials have no place in the administration, Mir said.
He said grievance cells are being established in the Revenue Department at different levels to receive the complaints from the general public.
A mechanism is being evolved in the department to make public delivery system more vibrant and effective, the minister added.
