J&K polls: Only two candidates in fray for Leh Assembly seat
LEH: Only two candidates are left in the fray for Leh Assembly seat of Jammu and Kashmir after the last date of withdrawal of nominations for first phase of polling in the state ended, an EC official said today.

After the last date of withdrawal of nominations ended yesterday, only two candidates, Congress' Nawang Rigzin Jora and BJP's Tsering Dorjay are left in the fray, he said.

Jora is the sitting MLA while BJP candidate Dorjay is ex-chief executive councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council.

It is expected to have a close and neck to neck fight between both the candidates. There were five candidates in the fray for Leh Assembly constituency in 2008.
