JAMMU: Opposition Peoples Democratic Party today alleged that legalising corruption and nepotism is the only "noticeable" achievement of the incumbent government in Jammu and Kashmir.

"The Jammu and Kashmir government has legalised corruption and nepotism in Jammu and Kashmir during his two year tenure. It is the noticeable achievement," PDP General Secretary, Thakur Balbir Singh said while addressing a public meeting here this afternoon.

Singh said that the present dispensation has "betrayed" people of Jammu and Kashmir because all promises made during the Assembly elections remained on papers.

He remarked that during the last two years, the government has failed to even connect itself with the common masses let alone solving problems their problems.

Calling upon the party workers to educate the people about the misdeeds of this regime, he said that the government is neck deep in corruption from top to bottom and leaders of the ruling party have been "brazenly" indulged in accumulating huge wealth by misusing their position.
