J&K gets new Director of Information

JAMMU: Muneer-ul-Islam today took charge as new Director of Information of Jammu and Kashmir.

Muneer-ul-Islam assured the media fraternity that issues highlighted by them have been noted and he would ensure that expectations are met and steps taken to address the issues.

A Post Graduate in Mass Communication, Islam comes with a rich experience of working with the media.

In 1993, he topped the All Indian Information Services and went for officers special course at IIMC, New Delhi. He worked in All India Radio, PIB New Delhi and DAVP from 1994 to 1999.
