JJ Hospital Dean says Indrani Mukherjea unconscious after overdosing

JJ Hospital officials believe that Indrani Mukherjea wife of media honcho, Peter Mukerjea and an accussed in the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora has consumed some pills. On Friday Indrani who is in judicial custody was rushed to the state run JJ hospital after she collapsed in custody.

JJ Hospital Dean TP Lahane said that Indrani was admitted to the hospital at around 2pm and she has been unconscious ever since. “ She was brought to the hospital at around 2pm and she has not regained consciousness as of yet. We suspect that she has overdosed on some of her medications.”said Lahane.

He added that they have taken a sample of her stomach wash and are analysing it to find out what she had consumed. Lahane said that her line of treatment would be on the lines that the accussed had consumed something. The JJ Dean said it would be too early to determine what Indrani had consumed and they would be able to determine it only after tests or after Indrani regains consciousness.
