Jharkhand revenue Rs 6754.27 crore in 2009-10
The revenue raised by Jharkhand was Rs 6,754.27 crore during 2009-2010, which was 45 per cent of the total revenue receipts.
The balance 55 per cent of receipts during 2009/10 was from the Centre, said the CAG's Revenue Receipts tabled in the assembly today.
A total of Rs 4,500.12 crore was raised as tax revenue during 2009-10, a 20 per cent increase from the previous fiscal on the total heads of revenue despite 77 per cent and 23 per cent decrease on taxes on goods and passengers and land revenue respectively.
The non-tax revenue during 2009-10 was raised at 2,254.15 crore, a 15 per cent increase from the previous fiscal on the total heads of revenue despite 50 per cent decrease in the forestry and wild life section.
During 2009-2010, a total of 266 tax assessment records relating to 20 offices were not made available to it for audit, the report added.
