With nomination of one candidate being found valid in scrutiny, 212 candidates are now in the fray for the first of the five-phase polling scheduled on November 25 in Jharkhand.

RANCHI: With nomination of one candidate being found valid in scrutiny today, 212 candidates are now in the fray for the first of the five-phase polling scheduled on November 25 in Jharkhand.

Out of 234 nominations, twenty-two were rejected yesterday in scrutiny, a release from Election Commission said here.

The papers of one candidate from Gumla Assembly constituency were taken up today and found valid, it said.

The last date for withdrawal is scheduled on November 10.
