Jharkhand government promoting liquor sale: Lalu Prasad
MEDININAGAR: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad today alleged that Jharkhand government is "promoting liquor sale" in the state only to generate revenue while the neighbouring Bihar government "boldly" banned it.

"Bihar government has boldly imposed ban on liquor, but Jharkhand government is promoting it," he told at a public meeting at Panki while canvassing for Congress candidate Devendra Kumar Singh for the Panki Assembly bypoll on May 16.

"The Jharkhand government here is issuing licenses to liquor traders only to generate revenue," Prasad claimed.

Accusing Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of promoting communalism, he appealed to the people to unitedly fight for social justice.

Yadav said JD(U), RJD, Congress and the Babulal Marandi-led Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) would be the alternative force to BJP and JMM in Jharkhand.
