Jharkhand government not serious on domicile policy: Congress
JAMSHEDPUR: Accusing the Jharkhand government of not being serious on the domicile policy, JPCC today said it should take a clear position on it.

"We would favour priority for local masses in the 3rd and 4th grade government jobs," Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) president Sukhdeo Bhagat told a press conference here.

"But it appears the BJP government is not serious about it," Bhagat said.

Questioning the government's approach to development, Bhagat said the government simultaneously surrendered its unutilised funds and withdrew maximum funds for payment on the last day of the financial year on March 31.

This showed the absence of any roadmap of the government for development of the state, he said.

He also criticised the government for effecting frequent transfer-posting of officials, which he said was not for administrative reasons.
