RANCHI: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has won from Barhait but is trailing in Dumka, where he is the sitting MLA.

Soren, who defeated BJP's Hemlal Murmu by 24,087 votes, will enter the House for the second time after his maiden win in 2009 elections.

At Dumka he is trailing behind BJP candidate Louis Marandi.

Soren took over the reins of the ninth government on July 13 last year to become the fifth tribal chief minister to govern Jharkhand in the past 14 years.

His father and JMM supremo Shibu Soren, who has not contested this time, also held the reins for three times though he resigned each time.
