New Delhi: A day after the cabinet expansion, the Jharkhand government allocated portfolios to the new ministers. Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has kept home affairs, personal administration, road and building construction along with other departments.

Before the portfolio allocation, a letter went viral on social media in which Congress general secretary KC Venugopal allegedly demanded certain portfolios for Congress ministers.

The BJP alleged that this was an intrusion in the CM's authority. Congress, however, denied any such letter written by Venugopal to Jharkhand CM. "We have no knowledge of any such letter which the media is talking about," Jharkhand Congress president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh told ET.

Congress leader Radha Krishna Kishor got the finance ministry while Irfan Ansari got the health and family welfare ministry. Mahagama MLA Dipika Pandey Singh has got rural development and panchayati raj ministry.

Mandar Congress MLA Shilip Neha Tirki has been allocated agriculture and animal husbandry department. From JMM, Chamra Linda has been allocated the SC/ST and backward welfare department while Hafizul Hasan has been given water resources and minority affairs ministry. Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren has been allocated school education and registration departments.

JMM's Sudivya Kumar Sonu has been given urban development, youth affairs, tourism and higher education while Deepak Birua has been allocated road transport, land reforms and revenue registration. RJD's Sanjay Yadav has been allocated labour, training and skill education departments.
