In a statement, Senchumo Lotha Nsn Chairman, NEEC JDU stated, “The show of strength exhibited by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh by bringing several thousand stranded students from Kota in Rajasthan, also known as the hub of coaching centres, has already thrown all norms and regulations of the nation-wide Lockdown into the thin air. It has already opened the flood-gates for all the stranded students, migrant workers, employees, etc who are lockdowns in different states to pin hopes of being brought to their respective home-states.”
He added that states that are not able to take such similar action are bound to face the wrath of the public which can be converted towards political dimension resulting in the loss of faith by the voters.

The Prime Minister must not remain silent on the issue but take bold action or else the faith of the nation is at state, " he further said.
NEEC, JDU call upon the Prime Minister and Home Minister of the country to make a public statement on the issue of Kota Students Homeward Movements during the Nation-Wide Lockdown by making it clear whether the action of the CM of UP has the knowledge and consent of the Central Government.
“Meanwhile, the various state governments of the North East should start all preparation to bring back all the stranded students, employees, other citizens, etc. stranded in different parts of the country in the yardstick application of the Kota students.”
