JDU leaders meet Venkaiah Naidu, seek to ouster rebel Sharad Yadav from Rajya Sabha
Janata Dal United members met RS chairman Venkaiah Naidu, pressing him to cancel the House membership of party leader Sharad Yadav.

They have submitted copies of the resolutions of the party's national council and legislature and soft copies of Sharad Yadav's statements in media and proof of his participation in Lalu Prasad 's rally in Patna on August 27. JDU national general secretary Sanjay Jha said, "We have submitted all necessary documents to the vice-president.
There have been precedents earlier of members stripped of their membership from the party." He added that when the party has decided to take a certain position, Yadav’s views as an individual hardly mattered. "Also he has spoken on everything except the corruption that Lalu Prasad's family indulges in," Jha said. Yadav, a former Janata Dal United president, shared a stage for the first time with RJD chief Lalu Prasad at an anti-BJP rally, ignoring the JDU’s warning not to attend it.
He also said that he will move the Supreme Court against Kumar’s plan to get him disqualified from the Rajya Sabha by ‘misusing’ the 10th Schedule of the Representation of People Act.
Sharadturned rebel in the JDU after Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar recently broke ranks with the Grand Alliance and joined the BJPled National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to form the new government in the state. Yadav has also questioned Kumar for forming a coalition government with BJP after campaigning against it in the polls.
