JD(U) leaders and RLD chief Ajit Singh join hands to address rallies targeting Narendra Modi-government
LUCKNOW: JD(U) leaders Nitish Kumar and Sharad Yadav have joined hands with RLD chief Ajit Singh and OP Chautala of INLD in Haryana to address rallies targeting the Narendra Modi-led Centre.

Ajit Singh’s Kisan Swabhiman Rally in Meerut on Sunday also saw SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav’s younger brother Shivpal in attendance. The rally was also graced by several other heavyweights, including ex-PM HD Deve Gowda and some local Congress leaders.

These leaders stressed on the need to unite secular forces and take on the “communal agenda of BJP”. Nitish Kumar said: “It is now time for us to act and unite.” Gowda too underscored the need for reuniting. “I have been roaming around the country trying to bring the socialists together,” Sharad Yadav told ET. Later in the day, Sharad and Kumar addressed INLD rallies in Haryana.
