JD (U) says Nitish Kumar-ruled Bihar safer than Narendra Modi-led Gujarat
The Gujarat unit of Janata Dal (United) today said Nitish Kumar-ruled Bihar was a much safer place than Narendra Modi's Gujarat.
RAJKOT: The Gujarat unit of Janata Dal (United) today said Nitish Kumar-ruled Bihar was a much safer place than Narendra Modi's Gujarat.
"Bihar is much safer than Gujarat. The Gujarat government is misusing people's money and people living in remote areas are not yet getting the benefits of development projects launched by the state government," JD(U) Gujarat vice president Gopal Jadhav said here.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had recruited around 1.5 lakh retired army and police officials to maintain peace in his state, while in Gujarat, even MLAs were not free to take decisions and democracy was "missing", alleged Jadhav, who was here for election preparations.
JD(U), an NDA ally, is contesting the Assembly elections in Gujarat independently.
The party will contest 50 Assembly seats in Gujarat and Kumar and Sharad Yadav would campaign in the state, Jadhav said.
"Yadav is likely to address public gathering in Bharuch while Jamnagar has been finalised for Nitish Kumar's public meeting," Jadhav said.
JD(U)'s agenda in Gujarat, he said, would be to reduce misuse of revenue and to focus on problems of farmers, tribals and OBCs.
