Jayalalithaa's casea djourned to May 16 for further recording of evidence of defence witnesses

The matter was adjourned after recording of evidence of five defence witnesses in connection with the Super Duper T V Pvt Ltd.

BANGALORE: The Special Court trying the disproportionate asset case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa adjourned to May 16 for further recording of evidence of the defence witnesses and their cross examination.

Judge M S Balakrishna adjourned the matter after recording of evidence of five defence witnesses in connection with the firm Super Duper T V Pvt Ltd owned by V N Sudhakaran, another accused in the case.

Jayalalithaa is facing charges that she accumulated wealth of Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate to her known sources of income when she was chief minister for the first time from 1991 to 1996.
