NEW DELHI: In a shocking statement released by the AIADMK chief, J Jayalalithaa on Thursday pointed fingers at A Raja as the minister, who pressurized the Madras High Court judge to deliver favourable judgement.

In her signed statement, Jaya said, "though the honourable judge refrained from naming the Union minister, it does not require any super-human intelligence to conclude that it was none other than the telecom scam-tainted A Raja."

She also added that, this was the first time, that a sitting high court judge was accusing a Union minister of threatening him and such a minister deserves to be sacked from the Union Cabinet.

On Monday, Justice R Reghupathi of the Madrass High Court had stunned everybody by claiming that a sitting Union minister asked him to grant bail to two men, a medical student and his doctor father, who have been accused by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of forging marksheets.
