CHENNAI: Senior BJP leader L K Advani and a host of other national and state leaders on Thursday greeted AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa for being elected as the party's General Secretary for the sixth time.
Indian National Lok Dal President, Om Prakash Chautala, former deputy speaker of the Rajya Sabha, Najma Heptullah and MDMK leader and Jayalalithaa's ally, Vaiko and many others greeted the former chief minister on the occasion, a party release said. Jayalalithaa was unanimously elected General Secretary for the sixth consecutive time here on Wednesday.
