Jayalalithaa did not die of 'slow poison': Apollo doctors

Former Tamil nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa did not die of 'slow poison' as claimed by senior party leader and minister Dindigul C Srinivasan, Times Now reported.

Two doctors appeared before a one man commission which is probing Jayalalithaa's death and refuted the theory of 'slow posioning'.

Srinivasan alleged that Jayalithaa had been given food that was not conducive to her health condition by her close aide VK Sasikala and her nephew TTV Dhinakaran. Jayalalithaa, who was diabetic, was given food that acted as slow poison and caused her death.


“Just like feeding slow poison, they (Sasikala and family) fed food items which were not conducive to Jayalalithaa’s health and which eventually led to death of our leader,” Srinivasan said as per a reprot in the Hinsutanm Times.

Sasikala is serving a four-year jail term in the disproportionate asset case while TTV Dhinakaran is leading a rebel faction of the party.
