Jawan killings: Government should harden its stand, says V K Singh
The public anger and protests all over the country against the killing of our jawans is justified, he said.

"The government should harden its stand on the hostility shown by Pakistani forces which claimed lives of two jawans. The killing was against humanity and indeed a violation of our Geneva convention (which lays down how captured soldiers should be treated)," Gen Singh who arrived from Delhi on his way to Multai in Madhya Pradesh, told reporters here today.

Amid increased tension along the LoC after three days of exchange of fire, Defence Minister A K Antony had yesterday said there were enough troops in J&K and the government was taking all steps to protect the interest of the country.
On Tuesday, Pakistani soldiers crossed into the Indian territory in Poonch sector and ambushed an Indian patrol killing two soldiers, one of whom was decapitated.
